Chambers Wharf Cold Stores is one of the last few remaining dockside warehouses in central London. It is in the process of demolition to make way for flats.
The original building was built in the 1930's as a store for imported foodstuffs. It was taken over by the army during World War 2 and there are unfoudned rumours of bomb shelters/tunnels under the Thames coming from this building. However, no proof has been found to date, and it is unlikely that proof ever will be, as demolition is underway. After it was no longer used as a cold store, documents and possibly gold bullion were stored here.
There is over 500,000 square feet of floor space in this building.

The purpose of this trip was for roof top views and for some of the slightly mad among us, to abseil off the edge...
